Social Events

 We organise various ad-hoc social events during the year including skiing, walking, theatre trips, etc.


The Rubber Chicken Ski Holiday Jan/Feb 2010

Another fantastic holiday was had by the nine who went to Vallandry in the Les Arc region of France from 30th January to 7th February.
The skiing conditions were superb again this year; it had snowed heavily before we went, and it snowed off and on while we were there.
Accommodation was again in our own managed chalet, with chalet girl Naomi cooking breakfast, cakes for tea and an evening 3 course dinner. The chalet was close to the lifts, so that everyone had only a 20 metre walk to the piste that led to 2 lifts, and we were able to ski back to the chalet front door. Les Arcs region is enormous, and provides a great range of pistes for all levels of skiiers. If you have never been skiing, but always wanted to, or you have not been skiing for several years, then this is an ideal holiday for you.
