The Southern Region Racketball Championships took place at Oxfordshire’s Racquets Fitness Centre, Thame on 22nd & 23rd May. There were thirty-two entries into this inaugural event, comprising eight A-graders, eight B-graders and 16 in the combined C and D grades.

Despite the heat wave everyone gave their all and the weekend was a great success with Paul Johnson (Berkshire) winning the A grade final beating Simon Martin (Oxfordshire) 3-1.


Buckingham Squash & Racketball Club was well represented. Playing in their first ever racketball tournament Andy Cummings and Fraser Liversage both got through to the finals of the plate competitions in their respective grades. Andy won the combined C&D grade plate final and Fraser lost the B grade plate final.
